Badges & ID

Who Uses Custom Badges and ID Holders?

Promotional badges and ID products are essential for conferences, trade shows, corporate events, festivals, schools and workplaces. Event organisers use branded name badges to identify attendees, speakers and staff while creating a professional first impression. Retractable badge holders suit offices, hospitals and retail environments where staff need quick access to swipe cards or photo ID. Button badges work brilliantly for brand activations, political campaigns, charity fundraisers and merchandise sales. Schools and universities order custom badges for open days, orientation weeks and student clubs. Whether you are running a multi-day conference with hundreds of delegates or need staff identification for a retail chain, branded badges and ID holders deliver practical functionality with visible branding that lasts the entire event or employment period.

How to Choose the Right Badges and ID Products

Start by considering how the badge will be used and for how long. Button badges suit short-term events, giveaways and promotional campaigns where you want bold, colourful branding at an accessible price point. Offset print and enamel badges offer a more premium finish for corporate events, awards and long-term staff identification. For conferences and events where attendees need to display paper inserts with names and company details, clear badge holders in portrait or landscape orientation are the practical choice.

Size matters for visibility and design. Smaller badges (25mm to 37mm) work well for subtle branding, lapel pins or when you need to fit detailed artwork into a compact space. Mid-range sizes (44mm to 65mm) offer the best balance of visibility and wearability for most events. Larger button badges (75mm to 100mm) create maximum impact for promotional campaigns, merchandise or when you want your message seen from across a room. Retractable badge holders add convenience for staff who need to scan ID cards repeatedly throughout the day. Styles, Materials and Sizes Available

The range includes button badges in round and oval shapes across sizes from 25mm up to 100mm diameter, giving you flexibility to match your design and budget. Aluminium offset print badges deliver a sleek, professional finish ideal for corporate events and premium branding. Soft enamel badges offer a classic raised-metal look with recessed colour-filled areas, perfect for awards, recognition programs and long-lasting staff identification. Magnetic and wooden badge options provide alternative attachment methods and natural materials for a different aesthetic.

Badge holders come in standard portrait sizes to fit printed name cards, with clear plastic construction that keeps inserts visible and protected. Retractable badge holders feature an extendable cord mechanism, allowing staff to swipe access cards or display ID without removing the holder from their clothing. Most badge products include pin or clip attachments, while magnetic options eliminate the need to pierce clothing. The variety of sizes, shapes and materials means you can match the right badge style to your event format, brand guidelines and budget.

Branding and Decoration Methods

Button badges are typically decorated with full-colour digital printing, allowing you to reproduce photographs, gradients, complex logos and multi-colour designs with precision. This method suits promotional campaigns where you want vibrant, eye-catching graphics. Offset print badges also use full-colour printing on aluminium for a smooth, durable finish that resists scratching. Soft enamel badges are produced using a die-struck process where your design is stamped into metal and recessed areas are filled with coloured enamel, then polished to create a premium raised-edge effect.
