Who Uses Custom Branded Paper Bags?

Retail stores rely on branded paper bags to package purchases and reinforce their identity at the point of sale. Fashion boutiques, gift shops, homewares retailers and bookstores use them daily to create a memorable unboxing experience that customers carry through shopping centres and streets.

Corporate events, trade shows and conferences use custom paper bags as delegate packs or welcome kits. They hold event materials, branded merchandise and giveaways while promoting your company long after the event ends. Hospitality venues, wineries and food producers also choose paper bags for takeaway orders, gift packaging and product presentation that aligns with premium or sustainable brand positioning.

Marketing teams order promotional paper bags in bulk for product launches, seasonal campaigns and customer appreciation programmes. The bags become mobile billboards, extending your reach every time someone reuses them for shopping, storage or gifting.

How to Choose the Right Paper Bag for Your Brand

Size matters. Match the bag dimensions to what customers will carry. Smaller bags suit jewellery, cosmetics and small gifts. Medium sizes work for clothing, books and general retail. Larger formats handle bulkier items, multiple purchases or event materials. Consider whether your products need a landscape or portrait orientation for the best fit and presentation.

Handle style affects both function and perception. Ribbon handles create an upmarket feel suited to premium brands and gift packaging. Twisted paper handles offer durability for heavier items and everyday retail use. Flat handles provide a modern look and comfortable carry for larger bags. Die-cut handles keep costs down while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic.

Material choice signals your brand values. Natural kraft paper communicates an eco-friendly, artisan or organic positioning. White paper provides a clean canvas for bold, colourful branding. Laminated paper bags add water resistance and a glossy, high-end finish that protects your logo and withstands repeated use. Think about where and how customers will use the bag, then select materials that match both practical needs and brand image.

Paper Bag Styles and Options Available

The range includes kraft paper bags in both brown and white, available across multiple sizes from small to extra large. These bags feature twisted paper handles for strength and everyday practicality, making them a versatile choice for retail and hospitality businesses seeking a natural, eco-conscious look.

Ribbon handle paper bags deliver a premium presentation, available in various sizes including options specifically designed for wine bottles. The ribbon adds a tactile, gift-like quality that elevates the unboxing experience. For businesses wanting maximum visual impact, full-colour laminated paper bags are available in larger formats, offering a glossy finish and vibrant print reproduction that stands out in competitive retail environments.

Express paper bags provide faster turnaround options across medium, large and extra large sizes. Flat handle designs are available in both landscape and portrait orientations for extra large formats, giving you flexibility to match your product dimensions and brand aesthetic.

Branding and Print Methods for Paper Bags

Screen printing delivers crisp, durable logos on paper bags at competitive prices for bulk orders. It works well for one to three spot colours and produces consistent results across large production runs. For designs with gradients, photographs or more than three colours, full-colour digital printing reproduces complex artwork with photographic detail.

Laminated paper bags accept full-colour printing that sits beneath a protective gloss layer, preventing scuffs and moisture damage while making colours pop. This method suits high-traffic retail environments where bags need to maintain their appearance through repeated handling. Unlaminated kraft and white paper bags typically use screen printing or flexographic printing, which bonds ink directly to the paper surface.

Good Things provides free artwork services on every order, including logo vectorisation and redraws if your files need optimising for print.
